About the Course
The purpose of this study course is to understand the psychic world, a field concerning which opinions vary widely, and in which there is much room for confusion and misrepresentation. It brings together different approaches to the subject matter from the extensive treatment it has received in theosophical literature, shedding light on a complex subject, which can sometimes lead the unwary away from Self-Knowledge rather than towards it.
Theosophical Views on the Human Constitution; The Field of Psychic Phenomena; H.P. Blavatsky on the Nature of Magic; Understanding Mediumship Clairvoyance—What It Is; On Kundalini Energy; From Psychism to Spirituality.
Each chapter concludes with questions for further study.
About the Author
Born in Brazil and having lived several years in India, Pedro Oliveira is the Education Coordinator for The Theosophical Society in Australia. He holds a degree in Philosophy from the Federal University in Brazil and has delivered talks and conducted seminars in a number of countries, including Australia. His interests include The Nature of Mysticism, Vedanta Philosophy, Theosophy, the Yoga-sutras of Patanjali and the teachings of J. Krishnamurti.
