George Gurdjieff, ‘arguably the first really independent teacher in the west’, holds a fascination for students of the western esoteric traditions. His original and sometimes difficult teachings, the man himself and his enduring impact is the subject of this talk.
About the Presenter
David Allan is a member of the Brisbane Lodge and has co-ordinated its Science Group activities. He has given talks at the Brisbane Lodge and at National Conventions. He is a retired electrical engineer but remains active in professional education. He is also a member of two amateur astronomical societies. He has an ongoing interest in the esoteric traditions, particularly the western traditions.
