The Relevance of Theology

Public talk, 7.30 - 8.30 pm, 13 March 2019.

Featured Speaker:Reene Hills
Venue:Brisbane Lodge

Reene Hills

This talk draws from ‘A House for Hope’, a book written by theologian Rebecca Parker, former president of the UU Starr King School for the Ministry, Berkeley, California and John Buehrens, former president of the Unitarian Universalist Association (US). It examines the relevance of theology to our everyday lives.

Renee Hills has been a member of the Brisbane Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for 12 years and has recently stepped aside as leader, a position she held for the past five years. She is deeply committed to the exploration and growth of her own spirituality and to offering support for those who seek to find this through Unitarian Universalism. She finds that being a UU helps her to be the best version of herself. Renee has been a secondary teacher, a journalist, and a school counsellor. She now writes stories for children, including a published picture book and flash fiction for adults.
