The existence or otherwise of free will is still a controversial topic. Some of the arguments advanced over the ages from spiritual, philosophical and scientific sources will be examined.

James Thompson was born in the north of England and studied physics at Lancaster University. He has been involved in the development of semiconductor device technology, opto-electronics and electronic equipment reliability and failure analysis. He has been a student of Theosophy since the early 1970s and has given many lectures to groups in Melbourne, the Gold Coast and recently in Brisbane.
